In 2025 the Shalbourne Club created the Harley Pearce Fund in memory of Harley, who grew up in Shalbourne but tragically lost his life at the age of 21 in a farming accident.

 

The fund provides contribution-funding to Shalbourne residents involved in charitable events or raising money for charitable causes. ​Contribution-funding is provided in three tiers. The fund will provide:

• £20 to a sponsee who raises £50-£200 from other sources

• £100 to a sponsee who raises £201-£1000 from other sources

• £200 to a sponsee who raises £1000 from other sources

The fund will only provide a contribution-funding payment to a nominated charity once in any calendar year.

Requests for contribution-funding from the Harley Pearce Fund should be emailed to shalbournepavilion@gmail.com and should include the name of the requestor, the nominated charity (including charity number) and details of the event for which the sponsorship is being raised (including the date of the event).
